The Hemry High yearbook is essentially "The Story of Buffy". Her biggest worries are choosing which boy will invite her to the Spring Formal, which lip gloss to wear, and how she's going to talk her dad into spending an unGODLY amount of money for that super-CUTE jacket she saw at the mall!
At least, until the day a man smelling suspiciously like dusty old books shows up after school informing Buffy of her "destiny". Hey, Buffy doesn't HAVE a "destiny"--she "Destiny-Free", really! Poor Buffy. Not only does she now have weird dreams and CRAZY super-powers, she also discovers that the monsters she's always seen in movies are all too real. Demons, Vampires, Werewolves, hey, the Boogeyman is probably real, too!
Despite a clumsy start, Buffy makes a respectable showing her first month out as Slayer. She destroys a centuries old vampire--and gives everyone a break from school in the process! She didn't mean to burn down the school, just the vampires she trapped inside the gym!
In scary quick order, Buffy found herself expelled, the focus of her parents' divorce, and hounded by unspeakable nasties to boot. Eager for a clean slate, Joyce Summers accepts a job with the Telfair Museum of Art in Savannah, Georgia. Now, Buffy must start over across the country, in a place covered by an unGODLY amount of Spanish Moss, and attending a private school, no less!
At least there aren't any vampires in Savannah...oh, wait...
<b><i>OOC: The game reimagines the Slayer's legacy by stripping away everything but the core concept: "One Girl, chosen to face the forces of darkness". YOU help write a different path for Buffy's story. Will she defy her calling and turn a blind eye to the monsters? Will Buffy still become the Ube-Slayer capable of taking down Hellgods, Hellmouths, and Scary Real Life Stuff? Will Buffy even LIVE to have a 2nd season?
You'll play the Slayer--and brand-new friends in a reboot of the series. Hey, we all know the Buffy concept sprang from the mind of Joss Whedon like a post-modern Athena from Zeus' brow. No copyright infringement here!
