Kar Eisen is a slight, bookish looking man in his late twenties.  Perpetually pale and usually more inclined to study warfare and heresy than participate in its prosecution or destruction respectively, Kar is never the less a seemingly boundless source of knowledge on a myriad of varied subjects.  And if he doesn't know it off hand, he can almost certainly find it.
