Jedec was a quiet, strong and thoughtful boy. Always tinkering, asking questions, reading. He was very intelligent but was not very social and did not get along well with others. Growing up on a mining colony the opportunities for education without any social status was not good. The work as a youth made him strong and the high gravity of the world gave Jedec good Strength and great endurance. He used to fix the machinery around the mines for extra profit, but when his father was killed in a mining accident - he decided it was time to move on an out.

He applied to the scout service. Because he had an aptitude and physical endurance for it he was accepted quickly.  Solo work away from social situations worked for him, he was assigned as a communications technician on a periphery communications station. Crew of 4, he was happy and learned so much more about electronics than he could have imagined as he basically had to maintain the entire station.

 3 terms was enough for Jedec and he bored of the service – new times, new adventures, where will it take him?
