Admiral Von Beornan's Roughneck Riders is a fleet of frontier law officers set out to maintain law and order in the outer systems. Operating in the systems desolated by the alien onslaught under orders from El Presidente the fleet often butts heads with pirates, outlaws, and rebels fighting for their freedom from the alliance. The tight knit nature of the crew who has been to hell and back and the headstrong arrogance of it's officers makes the Roughneck Riders infamous for having a prickly and unwelcoming demeanor to outsiders. The fleet is rarely known to take prisoners and is widely known to simply blow perpetrators away regardless of their crimes. This, combined with the general clenched fist policy in regards to colonies had led Von Beornan to be generally feared, respected, disliked, and seen as an unfortunate necessity in an uncertain time.
