Alecks Senechal

Alecks is a young man on a path to deepen his faith. He seems quiet and thoughtful but moves and speaks with confidence in Selune's teachings and his own abilities. The Selunite is almost six feet tall and has a somewhat atletic build. His azure eyes sparkle with curiousity. His light brown hair is kept short and his face remains clean shaven even while traveling. His clothes are well made from high quality woolen fabric and fit properly but are of a very pragmatic style with no expense made for embellishment. His kit is of the same nature both high quality and pragmatic. He rides a bay Molly (female mule) with a sweet disposition. A small screech owl is often perched on his shoulder or can be seen flying nearby.

Backstory:

Alecks' Grandfather, Vern Senechal, serves as the steward of a large keep on the outskirts of Neverwinter. A resourceful and devoted follower of Dagult Neverember for many decades, the great Lord has left the management of his ancestral home in Vern's care. Alecks grew up within the keep, in a large extended family devoted to the management of the sprawling estate. Though there was kindness and the opportunity for advancement, it was a very structured and disciplined upbringing.

Alecks yearned for a lifestyle that offered more freedom. The sea called to him at an early age. His father secured a position as the ship's purser on a merchant vessel when he turned fifteen. The Osprey is a caravel out of Neverwinter with a long history of prosperity and good fortune. The young man excelled at his duties and was encouraged to take on the responsibilities as the navigator as well. The Osprey's Captain is a devoted priest of Selune. He has mentored Alecks for over a decade on the ways of the sea and the path of Selune's faithful.

All ships require maintenance. The Osprey is currently dry docked in Neverwinter, with repairs and upgrades anticipated to take months to complete. Alecks returned to the Keep for a visit with his family to start his well earned time off. While there, his mother expressed grave concerns over the well being of his sister Erin. She had left the keep with her husband Gunther to settle on a large farm in the "middle of nowhere!". Erin always maintained regular correspondance with the family while on trips in the past. Her last letter was received six weeks ago. The family was very concerned. With ample free time on his hands and a desire to ensure the well being of his sister, Alecks has set off for the remote village of Phandelin.
