Background: A native of New Orleans, Regina knew nothing but the comfort a privileged upbringing provided. Rather than leech off of her parents' wealth like her older siblings, Regina challenged herself to achieve her dream of practicing medicine on her own merits. Through hard work and a few scholarships, she attended a modest university far from home and focused on passing her undergraduate and medical school classes for six years. Shortly after the end of her residency training, she was invited home to celebrate with her family. A few days after she returned, the dead had begun to rise, and she and her family made a desperate escape. Unfortunately, the mass chaos claimed the lives of her parents and separated Regina from her two sisters. With no desire to return to the city, she fled for her safety.
Seeking the security of a small group has kept Regina alive for a while, but with dwindling supplies and danger around every corner, things are about to change.
Appearance: She is a thoroughly average-looking Japanese woman with sharp, stern-looking features, light brown eyes, and short black hair swept back with a dark green headband. While she did exercise before the walkers came, it was mostly to retain an attractive figure rather than build muscle; something she succeeded at handily. Surviving the end of the world has begun to bring some color back to her pale skin -- a souvenir of long nights huddled over college textbooks.
With her attire, she chose something simple: sturdy brown hiking boots, tight-fitted blue jeans, a white v-neck t-shirt, and a black polyester track jacket. Her backpack is brown leather. On her left wrist, she has a silver watch.
Personality: Regina is a woman with complete confidence in who she is and what she wants out of life; whenever she decides to do something, she works doggedly to do it. Coming from a privileged background left her with a strong desire to succeed based on her merit; as such, she is quick to learn but slow to surrender. Unfailingly honest and highly opinionated, Regina believes that a blunt truth is preferable to blissful ignorance, no matter how unpopular speaking out makes her. In spite of that, she enjoys getting along with others, although her sarcastic sense of humor isn't for everyone. A doctor through and through, Regina is an advocate for mercy to anyone who wishes for it and thinks that morals are essential to hold on to in trying times.
