Käthe is an East Berlin Toreador expressionist artist, who works with painting, printmaking and sculpture. Her most important art works depict the effects of poverty, hunger, and war. Käthe is a young woman. Her presence would shine with enormous beauty, if her attitude were not so remissive, reserved, and constantly demoralized. When the emotions of others are at stake, she often takes extreme and rigid positions. She takes the suffering of the surrounding world on her body and face, as a necessary moment for artistic transformation. She´s sensitive to the other people troubles and feels compelled to reflect them like a mirror. She´s closed to her childe Leo, playing the role of the apprehensive mother.
