Though just barely managing to top 5'6", there is no denying that Amelia - Mia - Ortiz is both strong and tough. Her dark hair is almost always secured in a loose ponytail at the nape of her neck, keeping her hair out of her face and out of the way as she works hard monitoring airspace and evaluating data for operation. Her hazel eyes are almost always glinting with seriousness, keeping most civilians at an arm's length on the rare occasions she is among them. When you get to know her, her personality just barely begins to shine through, both in the quirk of her eyebrow, the teasing glint in her eyes that so many often miss, and the tiny lift of the corner of her lips that showcases her amusement. While she is difficult to get along with at first, often butting heads with her fellow soldiers, she enjoys the casual moments - though few and far between - where she can momentarily remove the heavy mantle of soldier and analyst and simply be.
