A usually calm exterior is shown on his face with soft blue eyes and often neutral expression. Although seemingly calm in facial expression he holds an air of confidence and authority in his stature, using his height to full advantage. Other than fine clothing he wears no other adornments that most feel the need to accessorize with. His blonde hair is kept short and styled in a messy spiked look. Faint lines from old scars can be seen intermingling with various tattoos depicting religious symbols or wording. All wording is done in ancient and sometimes unknown script, each purposeful line somehow further accentuating muscle tone.

When in full Angelic form Steven sprouts large silver wings that take in the general ambient light and seem to shift as shadows play across them. Most often unless he is prepared to sprout his wings he must have a bare torso, old armors have been specially designed to allow the act to happen. The tattoos visible on his skin give off an ethereal silver light that pulse with his hearts beating. Waxing and waning as he activates and deactivates powers. The color of his irises shift to the same ethereal silver while the whites of his eyes take on the same murky blackness of his pupils.

Basic Personality: A soft spot for those in need or unable to defend themselves. Years of seeing the worst that people can do left him intolerant of bully types. Experience and ability leaves him with an arrogant personality, showing when pushed on some subjects. History: Arrived 1098 AD. Azra'eil, as called by the first people to witness his true form expelled himself from what many call Heaven after a heated debate over the actions of his master's Earthly followers. Sitting back and watching senseless slaughter over how one chooses to believe in his master seemed a great waste to the Angel, who had been used in the past to mete out the deity's punishment. He remembers little of the time spent before sending himself to Earth in hopes of stopping at least some of the atrocities being committed at the time. Not even his name was remembered, although unbeknownst to him what the people call him is not so very far from the truth.

Azra'eil placed himself deep in the middle of the crusades but not to fight for either side. After sacking cities, armies had a horrible precedent of slaughtering all of those who did not follow the conquerors faith. It was for these innocents he fought for, saving those he could from the ravages of men too long gone from civilization. It was during these heated battles that some witnessed his true form as he sprouted wings from his back. The Muslim people he protected most often spoke of him as Malak al-maut, the Angel of Death or Azra'eil. Other times as Mu'aqqibat, guardian angel. More often Azra'eil was used because of the acts he was seen performing most often in his true form.

Fascination with the people in the area kept Azra'eil in the middle east even after the First Crusade ended. It would take years before the second starts but he remained for the same reasons that he came to earth in the first place. Straight through until nearly 1300 AD he stayed, enjoying the seemingly small bouts of peace for as long as possible. Too many times after invaders left the people would fight amongst themselves. Finally growing sick of even the idea of worshiping another being he moved eastward into the Orient.

Peace would stay with him as he learned from masters of martial forms in the land that was rarely watched from above as it held no believers. Intrigued by their philosophies and understanding of how life worked, kept him there even through the civil wars that marked the end of the Yuan Dynasty and start of the Ming Dynasty. There was less need for him to forcefully protect innocents as the militaries gathered, fought military and left citizens alone.

It seemed an ideal life spent learning and studying, switching between masters of various styles as it became too obvious he did not age as everyone else did. The ruse was kept for nearly two and a half centuries until the lifestyle began to bore Azra'eil. A group of islands off the east coast of the empire piqued his curiosity as tales and stories began to travel through the lands. Specialized schools that could rival the ones he had all but mastered on the mainland had a strong pull on the Fallen.

A group known as shinobi was of especial interest on the islands. People who had extraordinary ability keeping themselves hidden away from the general populace. He had barely been in Japan for a couple years before he was sought out by these 'shinobi'. His stay would be kept within a mere decade as the group made it painfully obvious they had no desire to allow him to stay peacefully. It was sport at first for the Angel as small groups were sent to dispose of him. He found nothing special about the first few attempts until half human, half beast creatures were accompanying the usual teams. These were proving much more difficult to kill and he had finally found a use for the weapons past mentors had taught him to make. It seemed these were the only things that could dispose of such monstrosities. The shinobi eventually sent more than Azra'eil could handle and he had no choice but to reveal himself to escape the overwhelming odds.

Left with no choice but to return to the mainland, Azra'eil did so and began to actively seek out others like those he found in Japan. Many of those he found were merely trying to make it like the humans, but many were also intent on destruction. Each individual was handled as they treated him and the humans they shared territory with. Continuous journeys had him pushing further and further west. Mentors that should have been dead were found again, producing long conversations and more learning as he asked incessantly about the other intelligent life forms. All manner of beast and aberration was learned about from those even older than himself. Beings tied to the Earth as he had once been to Heaven, werecreatures which he had already met, and seemingly undead peoples that could be created through draining ones blood. Stories of such beings grew in number the further west he travelled, curiosity once again pulling him as an unseen force.

Stories of these supernatural grew in the same manner as excitement for a whole new land discovered and being settled upon travelled around the continent. Yet another draw to the ever inquisitive mind of Azra'eil. Battles were now being fought at long range by the powders the Chinese once used for celebration. The firearms as they were called ending a persons life with increasing efficiency. The humans always needed more though and he found the uses for gunpowder growing, as well as the size of weapon they used for destruction. If he had only known then what would happen in another couple centuries.

Everything he had learned while traveling the Orient couldn't hold back the urges to join in combat he had been created for. The baser side of his instinct would eventually win over and Azra'eil began hiring himself out to whichever factions were closest to his ideals at the moment. An integral unknown piece to the rise of many civil wars used to oust unfair rulers. The battles that ensued were not always easy on him as other supernatural felt the call the violent humans sounded through their propaganda. All of these wars and battles were suddenly put in perspective when the Great War came.

The destruction wrought and war devices produced scared even the battle hardened Fallen. Other supernatural he came across felt this also and turned away to ensure their own survival. Had it not been for his own ability to heal himself, Azra'eil would most certainly have met his end as weaponry pummeled people and countryside with no discretion. He was only so fast and bullets were faster, his telekinetic shielding wore him thin during the worst encounters and eventually he would have to drop them to even have a chance at escape. The ending of the Second World War had him vow to never include himself in these wide fought battles again.

A new breed of warrior was being introduced on all sides, ones who could get into and get out of a place with minimal fighting and casualties. This was a profession he could excel at, saving many at the price of a few fell into his ideals. Azra'eil took himself to the America's and enrolled in the highest forms of military organizations they produced, taking to black op missions with relative ease. Of course he never really existed so getting away from these campaigns as he wanted to, was relatively easy.
