Sanura is of mixed European and Indian descent, favoring the European side, although she has a slight natural tan to her skin and a hint of her Indian ancestry in her features. She's quite thin, as she has a naturally good metabolism and doesn't eat much, but barely gets any exercise. She has dark brown hair cut into a long bob, and has naturally brown eyes but wears orange contacts to match her current character.

Sanura based her costume on the Borderlands 2 version of her character, in which Nisha is a boss rather than a playable character, just because her outfit there is more stylized. It features a dark gray duster and jeans, a white buttoned shirt over a black undershirt, a wide-brimmed hat, a Borderlands-style "shield" gadget on her off hand, and heavy boots, all with pink highlights. She made sure to faithfully reproduce her signature items as well: the bladed revolver Law and the Sheriff's Badge.
