Elizabeth Harper is a notably small young woman, 5'1" and slender, with a small high voice and small timid mannerisms, though she moves with easy natural grace and precision, with nimble hands and long fingers.  Alert clear blue eyes which do not seem to miss much, vivid auburn-red hair kept just long enough to mostly hide her face behind, and a subtle spangling of freckles on her cheekbones and the bridge of her nose that’s typically only visible when she blushes, which is often.

She bolsters the shrinking-violet image with a conservative slacks-and-sweaters wardrobe; the most daring color she’s typically found in is faded denim blue jeans, and generally she's attired in combinations of cloud grey and mouse brown and quiet pastels.  For the most part she speaks when she's spoken to, or if a conversation at hand pertains directly to one of her areas of expertise, but even when she does, she tends to make eye contact only in brief flickers, and her voice is a breathy, hesitant little thing, with an unaccented seemingly generic Mid-America speech pattern, though moments of heightened stress might betray a more grotty Baltimore street brogue.

Delicate, very feminine features and high cheekbones and elegant pouty lips afford her a very charming presentation but do nothing to counter her overall aura of being a flimsy little slip of a woman, and she's well accustomed to being overshadowed by the far more gregarious, extroverted personalities that form her immediate professional circle - until something makes her smile, that is, and her face lights up like a sunrise.
