Personality: An introvert is probably the best way to describe Risuke. He tends to want to be left alone than engaging with people outside of a classroom setting, so he comes off as very quiet. When he does talk to people, then his words are usually chosen at random and with no form of tact involved, so he either comes off as extremely nervous or rude depending upon who he is talking to. He is an avid fan of various types of puzzles, and he’ll spend hours trying to solve one without remembering to eat or drink anything.

Background: As the youngest of three children, Risuke was left to do what he wanted in terms of what he wanted to do with his life as his older siblings were already pursuing paths that would bring prestige to his family. With that in mind, the young Kano fell into the world of books and puzzles, which left him in his room most of the time. Eventually, his interest went into developing his own novel series and going to school to be a writer, but he kept this to himself as he assumed his parents wouldn’t

While his parents didn’t notice, his paternal grandparents saw it as a problem that their youngest grandchild had very little social skills or no plan for his future, but didn’t want to force him into situations that would further push him into his room. Instead, they heeded the advice of some of their friends with grandkids in similar situations and offered him a deal where if he were to beat this new VR game before he graduated from school then they would pay for his first year’s living expenses and college courses. If he should fail, then he would have to come live with them and pursue a career path of their choosing.

Figuring it would be an easy way to gain some material for the book series that he wanted to write in the future, Risuke agreed to the proposal and booted up the game.

Appearance (both character and VR avatar appearance):
In the real world, Risuke is an average looking guy with shaggy black hair and brown eyes. He stands around 5’11”, but he has a lean build, so his body type is sort of like Jack Skellington. His clothing choice is basic with oversize shirts, jeans, and comfortable footwear. Sometimes he wears a beanie if he is having a bad hair day.

In the game, Kanri is dressed in typical herald garb with a purple and green color scheme. His height is reduced by six inches, he is built slightly more athletic, and his hair is long, blue, and kept in a ponytail. His eyes are a dark purple, and there is a more confident look on his face.
