Warlords of the West II
Amid the mists of the late Iron Age, the scattered tribes of the ancient land of Britannia find themselves beset by foes from within and without. Across the Gaulish Straits, the relentless and mighty armies of Rome drive all before them, drawing ever closer to the northern coastlands. Strife and discord run rampant on the great isle of Albion as self-proclaimed kings and warlords battle each other for land, wealth, and glory, unconcerned by the threat of foreign invasion. Beneath them, the hardy Britons suffer the predations of the gangs of the sorcerous underworld, as they ply their dark arts to murder innocents, ruin crops, and steal from whomever they please. Chaos reigns as rival gangs clash openly in the towns and villages, before retreating to their foul, demonic hideaways.

In the southwest, the clans of the Dumnonian tribe are stirring from their long apathy. Far removed from the likely invasion point of Britannia's southeast coast, still they feel the winds of change rippling across the land, heralded by the Roman advance. As the military might of Julius Caesar draws ever closer to Albion, the five great clans of the Dumnonians realise that their poor holdings must unite against this potential threat to their way of life. But who will be the warlord to lead this union?

The time has come to stamp your dominance upon the land, to rise above your neighbours and claim rulership of the Dumnonian tribe for yourself, by any means necessary.
