Leonard Moore

Name: Leonard Moore

Age: 28

Gender: Male

Personality: Exceptionally patient and tolerant of rampant idiocy - essential skills when babysitting actors - melded with an relaxed sense of humor and willingness to laugh, Leonard is normally very easygoing.  There are two exceptions: first, when the pressure is on, Leonard's training as an (assistant) stage manager takes over, and he transforms into a decisive leader.  Second, Leonard has a strong protective streak toward those he feels responsible for (and given his job and hobbies, this is most people around him), and willingly makes sacrifices and takes risks to ensure their safety.

Skills: Experienced theater tech (primarily stage management, but can competently do anything), experienced actor (very good amateur), general Scouting skills (Eagle Scout), decent basic engineering (Voc-Tech schooling, and designing/maintaining theater equipment), solid first aid skills (he can treat most minor injuries that happen during productions, and stabilize plenty of more severe ones), respectable cook (though no chef - can't do fancy stuff)

(Note that most of these boil down to his job and history in Scouting; the only thing distinct is his skill in the kitchen)

Fears: Leonard is severely monophobic - he can handle being physically alone as long as he's able to maintain contact with others (usually using Discord or similar when working on his own), but when fully isolated it only takes an hour or two before Leonard is suffering full-blown panic attacks.  He doesn't much like heights, either, but has spent enough time on ladders and rickety walkways that this is an aversion, rather than a phobia.

Background:

* His father, Richard Moore, is the master electrician at a Broadway theater, and his mother, Cynthia Moore, is a choir director at an NYC high school; Leonard has been involved in theater almost before he could walk.  He never left, working in community theater as a kid, joining his school theater company in middle and high school, and using his father's connections to launch a career as an assistant stage manager on Broadway.

* Leonard is still involved in community theater, where he mostly acts and does set design - it's much lower stress than Broadway, and while Leonard is very good for an amateur actor, he's nowhere near professional level, so this is his only opportunity to appear on stage.  This is one of his two major hobbies, and one he takes quite seriously.

* Active in Scouting from Tiger through Eagle Scout, in a troop that put great focus on camping trips and outdoor skills.  As Leonard was born and raised in the city, this was his only real experience outdoors, and one he absolutely loved - Leonard put nearly as much effort into developing his Scouting skills as he did his theater skills, and he remains an active adult leader in the troop.  This is his other major hobby.

* While not part of High Society, Leonard knows how to play the game, and has dealt with enough Big Name Actors to know how to handle people; combined with is generally easygoing demeanor, Leonard tends to quickly forge positive relationships with others.  He does keep his personal and professional lives separate, however, and only views a few long-term coworkers as being genuine friends.
