The Final Storm: Existence Drips Away
The original game, The Beginning of the End, came to a close some time ago. This is the next (and last) part of a game/story involving the Halfling Wizard, Paela Underbough; the human Paladin, Tegan Adalondar; the human Rogue, Lyra Windsong; and the Dragonborn Knight, Shesten Tarrik--the last of his kind.

This game is set in my homebrew world of Dharcoria, specifically in the vast city-state of Riverbend, a place founded by humans and elves alike that went from town to city to sprawling metropolis in less than a century.

The original players of the above characters are welcome to return to the game and take up their characters once again. Other players that come into the game are welcome to come up with their own characters, while the previous PCs will serve in the background to continue their adventures while crossing paths with new PCs as needed to move things along or fill in details.

Much/most of the game will focus on the characters more than the game/rules aspects of D&D, while certain things like level, race, class, etc., are present to give players an idea of what their characters can/cannot do. Content is adult and due to violence, gore and other shocking events far more than sex or erotica, although that is not outside the realm of possibility.

Posts will consist of what the character does, what they say, how they react/interact with the world around them. Game mechanics will be done largely behind the scenes with my involvement being to respond to players, interact as NPCs, and resolve any conflicts or actions that are not entirely under the control of the player. Example, while players may describe their actions in combat, I will handle attack rolls, ability checks, things like that where the outcome may be in question or opposed by an NPC or other player. Specific skills, class abilities, etc., can be posted by the players as if they succeed (like Tegan the Paladin using his Lay on Hands power), and I will describe the extent of that success.

If this sounds like it could be the game for you, submit an RTJ and lets find out. Knowledge of D&D 5e or any other editions is not necessary to play, only an interest in the game and a willingness to match the quality and effort of your posts to that of your fellow players.

While the game world is homebrew, it is typical of D&D settings; medieval/magical technological level setting, gods and goddesses grant incredible power to their faithful servants, wizards and spellcasters harness magic, warriors fight monsters with the weapons and skill at their disposal and adventurers explore, survive traps, overcome challenges and attempt heroic quests. Dragons, the mightiest of monsters have been rendered extinct, yet other creatures roam the world and the dead don't always stay dead.
