Auberan Linavel

With red hair and golden eyes, Auberan is one from a long line of Ar-tel-quessir families who have lived in the High Forest since its ancient days Aryvandaar. Integrated for many generations among the Or-tel-quessir, the Linavel's are renowned as smiths and Bladesingers, though more than a few have been a ranger protecting the elven people of the forest. Larger than most elves, standing at a full 5'10, and with a bulk that makes him stand out, village rumors circulate of some human ancestry similar to his cousin Kalidran Sunsword. The last of his family to remain in the Realms rather than travel to Evermeet, Auberan has been struck by an unrelenting feeling of wanderlust, driving him to leave the village of Faabel and venture into the world outside of the High Forest.

A warrior and cleric of Corellon Larethian, Auberan also practices his family craft of smithing. His abilities show in his own armor, the magically colored steel covering his entire torso, with matching pauldrons, gauntlets, and leg armor. Underneath he wears a black leather doublet, and his breeches are further covered by a long tunic that adds a dash of red to the golden metal.

Intricately embossed on the arms and greaves are twisting patterns of leaves, while tooled into the metal of the chest was are pair of rearing of Arrn'faens, the hybrid animals that have befriended the elves of the High Forest. His helmet has delicate looking tooled lines that flow across its surface to come to the points above the nape, cheeks, and nose.

On his hip is the High Song, the blade of its family. Its long hilt is an easy angle to draw, hanging from a thick leather belt that has several tie flapped pouches looped onto it as well. A warm and full green cloak often hangs from a light cord around his neck, the mantle keeping it from pulling back and choking him, even as one side is cut back to allow easy access to the quiver of arrows that is strapped to his back beneath it.

A common addition is the round heavy wooden shield, covered in boiled leather that is tooled with patterns of leaves. A bow remains with his equipment, only coming out of its oilskin tube when he needs its reach.

Around his neck is a silver medallion of Corellon, his holy symbol that declares his religious dedication.
