Appearance:
Elaena is an attractive young woman who has elegant facial features, light peach skin complexion and striking blue eyes. She has thick, light brown hair which she has a tendency to dye blonde, though she has been known to try stranger colours as well. She has a slender and toned physique and is of fairly average height for a human female.

Personality:
Elaena didn't have many friends growing up and seemed to prefer the solitude of books, becoming quite an introvert as a result. She much prefers the company of machines rather than other organics which shows in her interest in anything related to artificial intelligence. Despite this she does have quite the sense of humour when interacting with those who she finds to be worth her time with many describing her as overly sarcastic.

History:
In 2162 Elaena was born on Earth in London, England. She is the youngest of three children born to Rebecca, a research scientist, and Richard, a serving member of the Systems Alliance Military. She spent her formative years in London, being home schooled predominantly by her mother. She did not grow up surrounded by alien species, cultures and histories as she would have had she grown up on somewhere like the Citadel, resulting in her wanting to get out and explore the galaxy even more than she otherwise might have.

Throughout her education Elaena always showed interest in technology, particularly that relating to VI’s and AI’s. The latter tending to be exceptionally difficult to study due to being outlawed in Citadel space.

At the age of 16 she attended London School of Science and Technology, a private specialist sixth form college. Following her graduation she departed her childhood home to further her studies. Not much is known about the following 4 years, though she did obtain a degree in Computer Science in that time.

In 2182 Eleana took a job as part of a Prothean research team, clearly still interested in furthering her childhood interests in the Prothean civilisation and more importantly their technology. It was here that she met her soon to be best friend Kara, a member of the research team who was of a similar age to Elaena. Kara was suffering from a rare genetic disorder that she had hoped the Protheans might have found a cure for. They quickly became close due to their shared interests and through being by far the youngest members on most sites they visited.

Throughout the following years they along with the rest of the team were unsuccessful in their search for a cure, though they did make many other interesting discoveries. Despite this failure however, along with Kara, Elaena was able to further her understanding of virtual intelligences through study of various Prothean relics. Unfortunately a fully operational Prothean VI still eluded her.

Following the death of her friend, Elaena now carries a Kara-like VI with her as part of her omni-tool.
