Vy

Name: Vy

Gender: Female

Age: Uncertain. Vy looks to be around thirty, but has no exact memory of her life before, so she can't give an exact number.

Species: Human

Appearance: In looks generally almost typically human, Vy sports a clean cut face with full lips and steely dark gray eyes, usually looking quite indifferent, down to almost cold expression. Her skin tone is on the light side, broken here and there with what appear to be very pale markings, probably painted on and she is perhaps a bit too pale for someone's personal preference. Vy sports a head full of light blue/grayish colored dreads, twisted into a large bun at the back of her head and the sides of her head shaven to a mere cover of hair, with a long mane of loose hair swaying almost the half of her thighs in the back. Over all, her whole appearance seems to be slightly washed out of color, in the lack of a better expression. Her clothes are simple and practical, usually leaving her arms, stomach and the lower parts of her legs bare.

Personality: Vy is overall, an embodiment of inner peace. She's a pillar of unstirred emotions, like a vast lake amidst a secluded valley, rarely nudged out of it's natural state and even if that happens, the surface sways back into it's neutral state rather quickly. Which is perhaps a bit odd, since Vy has a very strong sense of spiritual magic, which allows her to "read the spirits", basically the souls of living things with ease, seeing it as variously colored strings wrapped around their forms. She calls it "spirit reading" and with some effort, she was known to even being able to influence the emotions of those around her to a certain extend, even though she usually avoids to do that, considering it too much of meddling into people's lives. The only bit where she uses this without any reserve is when she sees someone hurting too much to bear and when Veylla perhaps needs a nudge back into her natural, calm state.

Backstory: Vy hasn't got much to tell of her past, her memories of a life before Veylla all but gone. She has no memory of her family, friends, places she lived at... All she gets sometimes are bits and pieces of jumbled up conversation pieces and images she hardly ever gets to make sense of. She did manage to find out, however, that she was discovered as being exceptionally talented in reading auras and spiritual magic by her people, who trained her in the arts of speaking to the spirits and once she completed the rite to be pronounced a shaman, she was offered to serve a deity, accepting the role of Veylla's subordinate of her own free will, despite the fact that she had to give up on her former life to do it, quite literally. Ever since then, she had roamed the world, following the goddess on her path, choosing to be her shadow and a confidant to lean on for when ever the young deity required it.

Quirks: Despite of almost seeming like she floats around with her head in the clouds, Vy is prone to sudden wisps of surprisingly dry humor, seemingly finding most amusement in teasing Veylla almost mercilessly. Even though she rarely smiles, her gray eyes seem to dance with mirth when she does that, making it clear that even though she feels almost detached from the world around her, she still holds some typical human behavioral characteristics. She also often gets annoyed by loud people and usually avoids big crowds if she can help it.

Greatest fear: Seeing people tortured and in pain. She cannot stand someone hurting for what ever reason and will choose to intervene, even if it's against her better judgement, in hopes of bringing them peace.

Phobias: Deep, dark waters, where she can't see the bottom. She doesn't remember it, but one cannot truly leave a life to become a full fledged shaman, unless they get all close and personal with the spirits. For Vy, that meant being tied while holding a large stone and set of to drown in a rather deep lake, during a moonless night. She is technically still alive, and cannot drown again while still willingly serving the goddess, but despite of knowing that Veylla's power sustains her body in an ageless loop, deep darkness and complete lack of sound terrify her. This only got amplified by the time spent in the void, after their realm got destroyed.

Other: She has a companion of her own, an owl named Eridani, who is in fact a beloved pet of Vy's.
