Mysteries of the Northlands
I am planning to set this up as a private game with players I've already met, so unless you know who Merric the Cleric is, please hold off on RTJing. Sorry for being so exclusive.The Northlands stretch from the city of Westbank for about 100 miles through the Spine of the North to the mountain stronghold of Stonehaven. In between are a few small villages that cater those brave (or foolhardy) enough to travel the road known as the Northern Trail. Beyond Stonehaven lie the frozen wastes known as the Icelands, where no civilized man has traveled for ages. Rumors have arisen recently of activities in those forsaken plains, but wiser voices advise against listening.
Your adventure begins on the other end of the trail, in Westbank. Are you a resident? A traveler from further south? Or have you journeyed from the north, down the Northern Trail to the Northlands' largest city? Regardless of how fate brought you there, the call for action is great. There is an eerie bustling in the Wildwood, reports of orcs atop fearsome steeds in the foothills, and just last night, a young man was arrested after making claims of a hooded figure stalking the old bridge on the way to Alaka.
This will be a sandbox of sorts for 2 - 4 players starting at 1st level. More details to follow.
