Character Name: Lady Winifred Bard
Age: 19
Physical Description: Lady Bard is the picture of nobility, at least visibly. She stands just a little taller than most and has a thin frame and subtle curves. Her face is round and bright, pale and always appears to be nearly flawless. She is always put together, wearing the height of current fashion which, thankfully, has pushed the corset out of favor. Her hair is brown and long, usually put into a long braid as it has a tendency to overly frizz in the slightest of humidity unless painstakingly put into large curls.

Personality: Winifred is a playful spirit. While the loss of her parents still weighs on her she has nearly fully recovered from the tragedy save a few spells of depression. Much of the time she is merely an inquisitive young woman, wanting to learn and meet new people and dance and play. She has a love for the theatre as much as for a fine wine, ever raised on the finer things in life she indulges.

Sadly, she can also be somewhat detached from making deeper connections. While she is, on the surface, quite friendly this rarely carries over into deeper feelings save a few members even of her current family. It is difficult to know if it is the nature of what she is or, more likely, a reaction to her parent's death. And, with the most recent news she may close herself even more.

Background: Born to Beatrice and Alexander Bard, she the Viscountess of Avebury and he the younger brother of Lord Alfred McKinley. Her life was set to be perfect. At least as perfect as one could be. But fate was not on her side and her parents were killed in a hot air balloon accident. The whispers at the time, though, were that something nefarious was at work. Nothing could be proven but the whispers were of something mystical. There were always such whispers around the manor.

Too young to take over, and being the only child she needed to be taken in as a ward. At 18 she was given the title, but she is still learning to execute the business of the house and the lands and is keeping it in its current state until she is twenty-one when she hopes to take over full time. Though, if it weren't for the fact that she was spending much of her educational time trying to learn the mystic arts she already would have.

The Bard family has long been a witch family. Witches are also hereditary, but usually only pass through the women of her family. She understands there are other families of male warlocks, but she has not met them. Attempts to merge these have ended in disaster. So, it has been traditional that they have only girls, through some mystical means, and that the eldest takes the title. The marriage of Beatrice and Alexander may have also served the purpose of uniting a werewolf clan and a witch family for reasons that Winifred doesn't know.
