Physical Description: A smaller girl, pretty in a cute-little-sister sort of way. She has red hair, usually worn up, and deep blue eyes. She has a beautiful voice
Her clothing is fastidiously kept perfect. She has a tendency to fuss over it exceeded only by her tendency to fuss over her mistress’s clothing.
Personality: Sweet but shy. She is still nervous and unsure at living in a noble’s estate, and she tries to make sure everything is perfect and proper. Polite and unassuming, she has a delicate demeanor.
Underneath that, though, she’s tougher and prouder than she seems; she’s the daughter of a soldier, and men like him built the British Empire.
She is very compassionate, and she is in a bit of a bind trying to express sympathy when something goes wrong while also not overstepping her station.

Background: Alexandra is the daughter of a career soldier, the youngest of several children and the only daughter. Her father and brothers looked out for her, and she is perhaps a little sheltered. She wanted to volunteer to be a nurse when the war broke out, but her father wouldn’t hear of it, as he’d seen too many field hospitals and didn’t want her anywhere near one. Instead, he had her take service with the McKinleys, as she would otherwise be living alone. She has done her best to be a good maid and show her loyalty and gratitude to the McKinleys, but is still sometimes nervous and intimidated to find herself in their service.
Her father and brothers are off fighting in the world war. She is very patriotic and won’t hear a word against the war or the King.
A pious young woman, she is a little rattled at the knowledge of her lady’s “gift”. Still, she is totally loyal to the family.
