It had already been a long day of school, engineering projects, and helping a classmate out with some car repair work, when he walked into his apartment's bathroom. The young mechanical engineering student sluggishly pulled off his coveralls; his arms, neck, hands, and face were smudged with sweat and various automotive fluids. All he wanted to do was take a hot shower, relax, and hit the bed, but something else called to him. An invite from a friend, and not just any friend, it was the friend that made grinding at school worth it, if only just to see them a few minutes. Just thinking about them brought a smile to his face.

He ran his hand over his slightly overgrown beard, deciding on whether or not to trim it before meeting up with his friends later. Then he remembered the joke that same friend had made about it making him look like a sexy ginger beast, and that made the decision for him. That friend didn't even realize that just them being there, talking, showing an interest, helping, and just being who they were took more and more of his heart even if they didn't think they met the requirements to have it. Barry just loved having them around, even if he tried hard not to show it because there were things that friend could never understand.

His muscular pecs heaved, the light dusting of red hair slightly buffeted with the exhalation. The working out had been paying off. He wanted to be harder and firmer every time they gave them a hug and that friend was ever affectionate. His frosty blue eyes gazed in the mirror, wishing he could really hold them. A puff of air passed through his teeth as he absent-mindedly fantasized. Just those thoughts were enough to give him the energy he needed to hop into a hot shower and get ready for the night out.
