Not much is known about Hope since she showed up in town fifteen years ago with the deed to the  old Perkins motel and converted it into an animal shelter and wildlife rehab. She claimed it was something she always wanted to do and quickly converted the large property into a sanctuary and the motel had a large section converted into veternary clinic for both domestic and wild animals, and she now has a staff of eight plus volunteers helping with the animals.

While quiet and soft spoken most of the time, Hope has had several run ins with hunters over wounded animals that ended up in her care. She is also known to be outspoken in favor of  Harbringer's Children, especially against the Mayor.
