Appearance: Elly is short for a Scandinavian, not even quite reaching five feet tall and has a lean lanky build and nervous energy to her that together can draw attention even when she is trying to stand still.  She usually wear's clothing with lots of pockets, vests with pockets, pants with pockets, jackets with pockets, a hat with a band to stick things in, and usually has something in each even if it is only a handful of nuts.

Personality: Outgoing and cheerful she's come to Sanctuary because she found it hard not to accidentally give away her nature to others.  She's just too trusting to be trusted to live in the greater world of men.  Enjoying the outdoors and sun she can be found outside often on long curiosity driven walks.

Powers/Abilities: Typical of her kind of changing being she can shift fully or partially into a squirrel, from man size down and can move from tree to tree like a ghost, allowing her a form of teleportation while traveling their branches.  She also has a number of powers centering around the passing of messages, among them perfect recall, mimicry, and an unerring sense of direction and ability to track the recipient of any message she is given.  Skills that those familiar with her kind suspect inspired J.K. Rowling in her creation of mail owls.  She is also one of the spiritual type of changing beings, with strong ties to the spiritual world and ancient religions, particularly those of Norse thought or origin with particular ties to Ratatoskr.

Background: Born in Norway she lost her parents early and being raised by her grandfather proceeded to slowly make her way, and sew chaos down the Norwegian coast moving from one small town to the next.  Moving on when she inevitably made a mistake with one of her many instant friends.  Deciding that she was becoming a bit too well known he Grandfather sent her to Sanctuary New York to live a hopefully more quiet life and get a college education after giving her a very firm talking to though he has few illusions his words will really stick.
