The year is MS5083, and nearly half a year has passed since Lone Wolf returned from the Plane of Darkness with the Moonstone of the Shianti. During that time he ascended to the rank of Kai Supreme Master while Sommerlund enjoyed a time it referred to as 'the Blessing of the Moonstone.
All seemed to be well with crops being unusually bountiful, and the sick and new born children being unusually healthy. But all would not last. Recent reports have started to surface that the Moonstone is beginning to have a negative effect on Sommerlund, and beginning to reach into surrounding regions.
While such reports have not yet been verified, rumour was rife in the Monastery, and more so when Lone Wolf calls his five Grand Masters to a meeting in the Vault of the Sun, his personal chamber one morning. The details of his meeting was not even made public to the Grand Masters, but even without Divination, all the Grand Masters called to attendance could already feel that something wrong was at hand... ...
