Name: Jim Carver

Appearance: Outside of costume Jim is an unassuming man in his late 20's, with short black hair, dark chestnut skin and clear, unflinching eyes. He dresses modestly and walks with a brisk, confident stride.

As the Silver Streak he wears a form-fitting black bodysuit and silver helmet that completely covers his features, hiding his race from the public.

Background: growing up in Knoxville, Tenessee during the 1950's gave Jim a passion for fighting injustice and helping the underdog. He left home as soon as he was able, making his way to more metropolitan cities, where he might be able to do the most good. On the way north Jim would take odd jobs, doing what he could to survive. That all changed during a short stint as a university janitor.

While closing up he stumbled across a murder in progress - the head of physics had been stabbed. As the killer ran, Jim rushed to aid the bleeding professor, who had always been kind to him. With his dying breath, the professor suddenly lunged, stabbing Jim with a syringe containing strange, silver fluid. Over the next week Jim became stronger, faster. Much faster. Now, he has the ability to right wrongs, truly helping whoever he can as the Silver Streak!
