Nein, hails from the North, he was born in Ten Towns, to common folk who toiled the ice to make a living. He often ice fished with his father. He still does when he is home. The tall broad shouldered man is an Aasamir, his mother is where his more divine blood comes from. He joined up with the group when he was first looking to test his mettle after leaving his ranger teacher "Owl". Owl was Ranger and a Druid and would often spy on him while he was going through his rite of passage as a ranger.

He maintains a close relationship, and still has no idea if an Owl he encounters is actually his master or just an owl. He is a common fixture among the group when they find an Inn. His animal companion is the wolf Sable.
