Originally from a brand of blank template stitch dolls made to be customized to their child's desires, Spooky just so happened to be owned by Gabrielle - a girl who had a love of the macabre.  Most children were scared of monsters, but Gabrielle absolutely adored schlocky horror movies, Halloween, and everything weird and gross and creepy!  When she was given a doll of her own to design, it was no surprise she ended up creating a disturbing, phantom-like toy that she loved to bits but that would always get a nervous side eye from adults.

Spooky is a frightening-looking doll who's disheveled, ratty appearance is both intentional and the result of her creator's unskilled hands.  Her whole figure is wrapped up in a tattered black cloak that hides much of her figure, usually disguising the fact that she has no lower half.  Her body consists of a head, torso, and arms - whenever she moves about, she appears to float suspended on the curling, coiling trails of her cloak.  She's such a creepy looking toy that she doubles as a Halloween decoration!  But despite her scary outward appearance, the doll herself is quite gentle and affable to her fellow toys. Spooky is a quiet and somewhat vacant-seeming doll who has a detached, dreamlike presence as if she's not wholly aware of reality.  She is not quick to anger, seems impossible to insult, and tends to have a placid, relaxed attitude that allows her to get along well with others.
