Three hundred years ago Adam Manchestor, with a team of explorers, discovered a hidden land.  One where the native population was gifted with peak, and some above peak, characteristics, amazing abilities to leap, and was skilled with combat.

The natives initially were hostile towards Adam and his companions, but over time grew to be more friendly.  It didn't hurt that the firearms that they brought proved even more effective at fighting the largest threat to the natives, dinosaurs, than the natives' own methods.

Slowly, Adam and Shiarra, the native cheiftess, grew closer and closer, until she took him as a mate and a partner.  During this time Adam and company had been sharing everything short of the firearms with the natives, and the natives reciprocated.

Eating the food caused the same changes in Adam and company as it had the natives, and before long they were leaping with the best of the natives.  They were also shown how to alter their clothing to cause it to be adhesive to the sheerest of surfaces, allowing for a minor feat to leap from tree to tree, staying out of range of the smaller dinosaurs.

One hundred years ago, Adam and Shiarra had a child, naming him Kitall Manchestor.  All was well with the family and the company of explorers had mostly become one with the natives.

One explorer however, wasn't satisfied with the native hospitality, and wanted the comforts of home and the money he could gain from the sale of the native foods.  One night Brian Hanover attempted to leave with the food.  The natives rose up in defense against the theft, and Adam and Shiarra was in the forefront of the defense.  Brian ended up killing Adam and Shiarra, having saved his ammunition while the other explorers spent theirs.

He grabbed what he could and ran to the surface, pursued to the edge of the territory.  He then looked up his remaining relatives, shocked to discover how long it had been since he was last in civilization.  Going through genetic testing to prove that he was indeed related to his family, Brian joined the prosperous family business, being tutored in day to day life as well as business practices and methods.  He grew to be the CEO of the family business.

Meanwhile, what he'd done was discovered by another businessman who sent anomalously for Kitall, offering the young adult the opportunity to seek justice for his family, on the condition that Kitall didn't attempt to discover who his benefactor was.

The benefactor arranged for Kitall to be picked up at the edge of the jungle crevasse, and brought to Central City.  Kitall started in on his manhunt while discovering that the outside world was rife with dangers, that while minor in his eyes compared to the dinosaurs and such he'd grown up with, threatened the populace at large.  Taking after the sacrifice of his parents, Kitall expanded his war to encompass those that would harm or take advantage of others.
