Angus has a muscular, athletic, build. He has dark brown hair with a scruffy, light beard. He has twinkling blue eyes. He has a scar on his right shoulder from a pyramid injury.

Personality:
Angus is easy-go-lucky and not a typical by the book, spit and polish, officer. He is the type of officer willing to get his hands “dirty” and pitch in with work enlisted typically have to do, in order to get the job done. He has high expectations of his subordinates but doesn’t bully or intimidate them to get compliance so he is generally well liked and respected by the enlisted ranks. He is quite intelligent but never tries to “show off” or be a know-it-all in intellectual matters. Angus is a little hard on himself and typically only sees flaws in himself or what he has done. He has a hard time accepting compliments.

Likes:
He likes to play pyramid in his free time. He also enjoys reading, especially about ancient gods, legends, and folklore. He will play some poker but it is more for socializing than enjoyment of the game. Angus likes to carouse and when he has had enough drinks will break into bawdy songs or old military songs.

Dislikes:
Angus dislikes know-it-alls, snobs, elitists, and people who intimidate or bully others. While he generally won’t call them on their behavior, he tends to avoid them if possible.

Hobbies:
Pyramid, Reading fiction (mythology and folklore) and military history.

CDF Humanitarian Service Medal (This was earned for the excessive hours [as little as 4 hours of rest between flights over several days] his Raptor logged in flying supplies and into an area hit with a natural disaster. He also assisted in Search and Rescue (SAR) missions in the areas, and also evacuated seriously injured casualties). Because of his work ethic he earned a Good Conduct Medal also.

History and Background
Angus’ father was a retired enlisted man on a flight deck crew in the Colonial Navy and his mother was a stay at home mom while they were growing up. His parents are both dead now. Angus has three sisters, all older, and all married with families so he is not overly close with them. He typically sees them once or twice a year at holiday times.

Angus attended the military academy and barely got by. It wasn’t his grades, which were excellent. He is rather intelligent, but because of his lack of rigorous military discipline. He was one of the better players on the academy’s pyramid team. He has a scar on his right shoulder due to surgery done there to repair a pyramid injury. When he graduated, Angus chose to become a Raptor pilot. He felt the Viper pilots were a little too full of themselves and preferred to be in a supporting role.

Over the years, Angus proved to be a steady, reliable pilot and earned regular promotions. His defining moment came during a natural disaster (severe earthquake) that caused massive damage, including flooding. He flew missions shuttling in desperately needed supplies. His search and rescue missions were to find stranded people and evacuate them to a safer location. He also participated in medevac for patients with serious medical concerns to better medical facilities. Now he has finally earned command of a Raptor Squadron.
