Reyna grew up in Galesburg IL, the middle of nowhere in a small town that most people have never heard of.  She as one of the 2 children of a perfectly normal, nuclear family in midwest america.  But there was always something different about Reyna, and that was her ability to sing.  She had the voice of an angel and was soon on the church choir.  in high school, she was introduced to her first musical and she feel in love.  She started devouring all the musical she could get a hold of, her favorites being Hamilton and Wicked.  She talked her parents into letting her take dance and singing classes.  She performed on every play her High School put on.  Her dream was to make it to Broadway and with her voice, people knew she was going to make it.  She entered several singing competitions, winning scholarships from American Protege and Youth Vocal Competition of the Schmidt Institute, from there she qualified for the Northwestern University, one of the top performing arts schools in the world and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with honors.

Right out of college, she was recruited for a major musical in Chicago.  Reyna was living her dream, she had made it into Broadway.  Well it wasn't Broadway itself, but the next best thing and a stepping stone to performing on Broadway in the future.  Walking home after a show, hyped on a great performance, she witnessed the start of a mugging.  One of those Nazi wannabes was mugging Mrs Foster, one of the old ladies in her apartment.  She looked around and there was no one around, she was in pretty good shape, but she had no training in combat.  She remembered her self defense classes, where shouting was an effective way to chase away an attacker.  She had a powerful voice, she could wake up the entire neighborhood!  She pulled in a deep breath, charged at the Nazis wannabe and shouted into his face, "STOP!!!"  Not only did he stop, but he got tossed down the alleyway. She shattered bricks in the buildings to either side of the alleyway and at the other end of the alleyway. That was on Sunday of the 22nd after her show. Fortunately she had moved forward enough to shield Mrs Foster from her own voice.  And indeed, she woke up the neighborhood and the police soon arrived. Mrs Foster vouched for her with the police and after a quick investigation, she was let go with a warning and lots of strange looks.

Now she was wondering what the heck was going on!  Sure she could shatter glass with her voice before, but never brick walls or tossing a man through the air.
