There is a pall hanging over the Greatlands, and it has a name.  Lothos, the Undead General, Servant of the Arch-Lich Cormore.  His dreaded army of skeletal undead wages constant war against the living, and when he chooses to be present in the battles it is a near certainty of a complete victory by the undead.  Even the Gods have not pitted their Avatars against this horror, save for Kandrell.  She alone among the dieties has seen fit to let loose her Knight, Bendragus and the Lacrottia people to stand against Lothos, for Kandrell is the Goddess of Love, and only Love can triumph against hate.
