General Appearance: Like the majority of her family, Lana has pale skin and golden blonde hair. Though she wears it down and loose around her family, it is always up in public, befitting her position as one of the DeHaviland children, and the image of a more serious young woman. Unlike most of her family, however, she has pale brown eyes that fleck amber in the right lighting. She stands at a respectable 5'7", leaning on her mother's genes for her elegant height.

Though her nose is a bit 'too wide' and her lips 'too thin', Lana's features are joyful and prone to amazingly luminous smiles.


HISTORY

Personality: Above all else, Lana is loyal. She has a pragmatic outlook on life and a can-do attitude fostered by her excellent upbringing. She is articulate with her words and able to carry on a debate with the best of them, but also softly unalarming. It makes her excellent at court knowledge.

She is flirty, starkly honest when the occasion calls for it and does not cower easily. Lana knows who her family is, and the protection of that name as a shield.

About Your character:
The older sibling to Anya and Hawthorn, she carries herself well, though is not known to be as studious as Anya, or half as brazen as Hawthorn. Instead of sitting at her father's heels, she sat at their mother's. She learned the intricacies of court and how best to navigate them with a giggle and a smile. At home, she is known among her family for her mischievous sense of humour and sunny disposition.

She enjoys the outdoors of gardens and the occasional horse ride but is no great master of it. Instead, she was trained in delicate skills such as dancing, embroidering, and listening astutely. In her spare time she draws illustrations, tiny stunningly realistic images of things or people. Many of the margins in the books of her family's estate carry her doodles.

Though she wasn't surprised about the calling for her to get married, she was quite shocked at the announcement that all of them would be sent away to churn out new alliances between the families. It sounded terribly like something her father would propose, but Lana would fight tooth and nail against any pairing that would harm Anya.



Allana's Lady in Waiting, she was enlisted as a companion to the eldest De Haviland when Allana was twelve. Two years older, Maggie enjoys the straddle between servant life and that of privilege.

Maggie spends more time than her siblings with her, and has become invaluable. Allana's adopted sister in many ways, Maggie is fiercely loyal to her Lady.

The Austwicks themselves have served the De Havilands for ages. Various cousins, siblings, and other members of their family are a main staple at Coenchair.
