Warcraft: Crafted War

This is a game set in Azeroth focusing on the battle between the Alliance and the Horde and maybe the guys trying to make some money on the side.

You will take the role of mid ranking operatives in your chosen faction doing supporting missions on the periphery of the greater war and dealing with third parties and steering them towards your faction's ends.

Game will take place assuming Battle for Azeroth has been the status quo but won't take place in Kul Tiras or Zandalar

This round of RTJ's is serving as my interest check and my setting selection to some extent I'm asking for a faction preference in my RTJ if I get enough apps to do one faction or another that is the game that will be ran.

That all being said I know what else you are thinking, Mutants and Masterminds?! What the heck?

Ok, guys it’s free, it’s pretty balanced (in a heavy handed way), and it’s general enough that you can make whatever you want in it. I know there is official D20 content but it doesn’t really simulate how the universe works that well.

Warcraft characters have a few defined tricks they can do (Powers), they can do big magical effects that take a while (Rituals), they can make goofy technology devices (Inventions), or they have a magical/technological artifact giving them access to a specific power (or they have several of the above). D20 does that poorly, M&M does it well.

I'm working on a few templates that should sort of show how I think appropriate characters should be built in addition to having actual rules for character creation. Basically this will be a very restricted form of M&M character creation to try and fit theme. I will help building a character or trying to make a concept work if you ask.

Power level and point limits are pretty low to promote putting limits on your powers to make them cheaper and more “efficient”. AKA More interesting
