Jinx grew up on the streets of Waterdeep almost from birth, with virtually no memory of her life before.  A hard-scrabble existance colored the halfling girl's perceptions of the world around her in ways both good and bad.  Still, she managed better than most arising from such humble beginnings, relying on a quick tongue, quicker wits, fast hands, and faster feet.

Paramount to it all though is an apparent sense of confidence and luck -- a repeated mantra: "Everything goes my way."  Deep down though, as is often the case with such self-assurance, it arises from equal parts confidence and fear of failure; it is bravado as much as bravura.

A self-taught dilletante -- "Dabbler but no Master" -- in both magic and music, she generally earns her coin in small, local taverns and pubs through song, story, and the occasional swiping.  Almost always nearby is a tiny Pygmy Owl she calls Hugo.
