Unassuming and (mostly) polite, Claire is a young woman with an easygoing nature that belies her rural upbringing. Like many smallfolk, she grew up content with a simple, if relatively uneventful life. Though not the fastest thinker or most spontaneous personality, she is not unintelligent, coming off as deliberate and thoughtful.

A native of Nightstone, Claire is an acolyte of Chauntea, the Great Mother. On completing her study at the abbey in Goldenfields, she moved about rural communities not important enough to be on any map, meeting local needs as best she could in accordance with her faith's commission, as makeshift healer, priestess, agricultural advisor, midwife, constable, runaway horse-catcher and so on.

That's as much adventure as she feels she needs, even if she doesn't get to decide what comes her way...
