What is there to say about Peter Parker? Well for most they attribute two traits more than any other when talking about the New York native. The first is his tenacity as a journalist while the other is the man has such back luck that it is known as “the Parker Curse”. Bad luck seems to follow the man wherever he goes ever since he was little though the rest of his family has their own rotten spots of it as well. When he was a young boy his parents left him in the care of his aunt and uncle while they traveled overseas. Their plane went down thus Peter was orphaned and placed in the permanent care of Ben and May.

His life was somewhat normal after that with him being raised to do the right thing by his aunt and uncle. Ben especially instilled in him a sense of honesty and responsibility along with a love for journalism since the man worked for one of New York’s newspapers. Of course he continued to have strings of bad luck but Peter was not one to give up easily. After school he became a journalist just like his Uncle Ben and even landed a job at the Bugle so now there were two Parkers employed there. He even settled down and tied the knot with Gwen Stacy. Yes, things were looking up for the guy though that just meant the Parker luck was biding its time to sucker punch him right in the gut.

In the blink of an eye everything seemed to come crashing around him. First was the death of his wife, followed by the arrest of his Ben who was being paid off by Norman “the Goblin” Osborn, a local mob boss. Seemed that some freak running around, the Spider-Man had apprehended the two with Ben even being put into the hospital for the pummeling the man took from the costumed vigilante. Now a widow and being associated as the same kind of lying snake as his uncle, Peter is doing all he can to keep moving. Unfortunately those who know have noticed him becoming more withdrawn and focusing solely on his work.
