Lean of build, Azami stands just below average height.  Black hair and high cheekbones frame her dark grey eyes; she keeps that hair pulled back, for the sake of ease, but if released from its tail it would likely hang down a little past her shoulders.  The utilitarian style matches perfectly with her usual lack of makeup (beyond the occasional swipe at nail polish) as well as her bearing and movements: direct, immediate, and efficient.

Only her eyes break the pattern, their grey irises almost unfocused, as if drinking in her surroundings in a more holistic fashion.

When she speaks, her voice is low, quiet, and lacking even a hint of command; her eyes do not often meet those of the person to whom she speaks.  Expressions cross her face in shadows and flickers, rather than holding steady.  Azami stands straight at nearly all times, though not as a ramrod; rather, her body remains surprisingly relaxed, even in the most chaotic of circumstances.

Most people do not consciously notice these things, or Azami herself; she has a tendency to become a 'face in the crowd', whether in med-bay or on an away team.

Off-ship, her clothing is the standard uniform for the enlisted of the medical branch: the basic jumpsuit with blue banding at the wrists.  On an Away Team to a planet surface, Azami adds the standard jacket.  When she takes a shift in medbay, she switches to the white medical staff coat and trousers.
