Things ain't  always perfect out in 'the black', but most times they sure are a might interestin'. Ya can't beat the freedom to go where'n ya want to out past the Border worlds, without worrying about them Alliance folk stickin' their pampered noses in your affairs. Well, for the most part at least.

Anyhow, you can fly your ship all over the 'Verse and get the job done, and if'n ya feel a bit generous, ya might even help a few folk in the process of makin' heaps of money. Sure, some of your jobs might be a bit dangerous or skirt a law or two, but only 'cuz those laws just ain't all fair. Shoot, them Alliance folks got more shady secrets than a group o' Reavers got piercings. So, sign on in and you and your crew can make your mark out in 'the black, and show them Alliance folks the 'what for' and you just might end up being a Big Damn Hero to boot!

Background: The Alliance fleet was taken down several notches by them Reaver ships. Those Alliance guv'ment types were embarrassed that there footage was let out showing how they came to be. But the Alliance leaders claimed those scallywag scientists went rogue on experiments and the uppity-ups weren't none the wiser. Most people don't believe 'em, but they still hold the cards in this here galaxy. Just a might less of 'em now.

NOTE: This season of Firefly our RPG story will take place in the weeks following the Serenity movie.

I actually started out wanting to convert Firefly to the Genesys Role-playing system. But once I read through all the Firefly cortex-plus based rules, I fell in love with this gaming system. Now I'm wondering about converting other games to this style. It is even more narrative driven than FFG RPG systems, of which I am also a big fan. I am an experienced GM for many different types of games for many, many years. This will be the first time running this system, but I am willing to help people learn the game mechanics, even if you don't own it. It doesn't take alot of time to learn the rules. It is simplified enough that you can pretty much take any action you would without even using a system (like Freeform).

If I get several new people, we might just start off playing some alternate scenarios with the Serenity crew to help learn the system before creating your own crew and picking a ship. Please RTJ if'n ya want to grab a crew and start heading out in the 'Black.
