[5E] The Heroes of Ashford
The small hamlet of Ashford is in dire need of heroes. Orcish raiders have murdered the Baron of Spire Keep and the land has fallen into chaos. Bandits have moved in, knights have abandoned their chivalrous ways and taken to terrorizing the very people they were sworn to protect and an ancient evil stirs beneath the surface.The PCs will start this game as 1st level heroes exploring the rural areas of Tethyr in the Forgotten Kindoms. Sandwiched between Amn and Calimshan it is a place rife with danger after recovering from a brutal civil war that has left huge swaths of the kingdom effectively ungoverned. PCs will get to explore the surrounding wilderness while using Ashford as a base of operations as they rise up and become the heroes the Forgotten Realms desperately need.
