Lord Bradenn Shattermane is a man of strong drive and a high level of shrewdness.  His hard work has led to a comfortable life for his family, which includes his wife, three sons and a daughter (the youngest).  He is a stern man, with a love of
both coin and family (in that order) and little else.

From the family estate in Suzail, he directs logging operations in the high forest under a charter from the crown.  In years past as the business was growing, he spent a great deal of time traveling to and from the actual work area.  Now relatively secure with a contract from the navy, he rarely leaves Suzail.  Instead, his two oldest sons Fradenn and Cradenn see to work being done at the site.

His daughter, Jessica, is 11 summers old and studies with private tutors under the direction of Lady Santhia Shattermane.

The activities of his youngest son, Dradenn, are rarely discussed outside the family.
