Essex is the acknowledged oldest child of Queen Moire of Rebma, being born just before his twin sister Alexandra.
He has a swimmers build, with short blondish green hair.
He is often found in typical Rebman dress, preferring scaled trousers over the normal dress in Amber.

He currently is the Regent of Rebma, in charge till his sister Meridian comes of age.
