At first glance Orin Starshine fits everyone's thought of a dwarf.  He stands roughly four feet tall and is nearly as wide, with thick arms, stout legs and a barrel chest.  His face is craggy and hidden beneath a thick growth of chestnut brown beard, while blue eyes gleam out from beneath shaggy brows.  When travelling he is wrapped in plate armour and sprouts a multitude of weapons in addition to a pack on his back nearly as large as he.

But on closer inspection there are differences that appear.  His beard appears somewhat short for dwarvenkind, and his attitude toward surface dwellers a little more welcoming.  Even the open sky above seems to hold little trepidation for Orin, and indeed he can often be found reveling at the sparkling heavens on clear nights.  For those not familiar with dwarven clans these differences might be confusing but they are not secret, and Orin is always happy to share if there is ale, wine or especially brandy behind the request!
