College town, with a twist

Welcome to Midvale, Minnesota. A small college town of about 100 000 and home to  Minnesota State University - Midvale. With a student body of nearly 20 000 students, MSU-Midvale offers a fine education in liberal arts, sciences, engineering and humanities. They have a law school, a medical school and a suite of vibrant and impressive graduate programs. Midvale is a four hour drive from the Twin Cities and effectively isolated, a true college town. MSUM is a magnet for gifted students from across the midwest and the world. MSUM is especially known for being welcoming to a diverse student body with a range of ethnicities, sexualities and lifestyles.

Midvale has been named one of America's most livable cities, and one of the "50 Best Communities for Young People". Most of life in town centers around the University; academic life, social life and sporting teams, leading to a great camaraderie. Midvale isn't just MSUM though, it boasts a diversified economy including a Lexus assembly plant, NuGen pharmaceutical testing facility, and numerous healthcare companies supporting this massive research lab. Most of the town's nightlife does center around the University, which Playboy magazine consistently rates in their top 20 party schools.

This game is set in the modern world we all live in, with a few twists. The biggest and the one I want to explore in this game is this. In our world, the average cis-male is about 4-6 inches taller and 50% stronger than the average cis-female. Athletic women can train to bridge this strength gap, and of course trans- blurs things a little but for the most part this is true.

I want to explore what happens if this is reversed. For reasons that may become apparent through game-play (if people want to investigate), women start to grow to be bigger and stronger, eventually growing to be bigger and stronger than typical men. Not superhero-strong, but just reversing the kind of gap we have now. When it's all done, the average woman will be bigger and stronger than all but the strongest men, and a woman who trains can easily be stronger than any man.

The game will start in character in September, as students arrive on campus for a new school year. Things are still very much as we expect them to be, but will begin to change. Characters who were female at birth will slowly gain a pound or two a day, mostly muscle, and slowly get taller. The changes will be almost impossible to notice at first, but it won't take long until they become obvious.

Welcoming characters of all types, new students, staff or faculty, town residents, as long as there's something to tie you to Midvale you're welcome here. The game will be sandbox-y modern slice of life with a twist, but there will be mysteries to uncover if you choose to.

Come on, let's see how the world changes if physical roles are reversed.
