PHYSICAL APPEARANCE:
Standing well over 7' tall and weighing nearly 400 lbs., Grukk is massive even by Goliath standards. Grukk has no hair, and his bright blue eyes almost seem to glow. His stone gray skin is marked with strange symmetrical patterns. At first glance, they appear to be tattoos, but in fact, they are natural markings. On his exposed arms and torso, you notice various coin-sized bone and skin growths. There is a large gem with a fire-like hue is sewn in to a growth on his left arm. Just below this, there is a plain leather collar being worn like a bracelet on his left forearm.

The quarterstaff in his right hand is beautifully crafted from an exotic amber colored wood that is heavily patterned with a multitude of black markings. Three heads are carved in the top of the staff, a wolf, a bear, and an eagle. A simple handaxe hangs from his belt, along with a several leather pouches. His clothing are of poor quality cloth, and offer no protection.


PERSONALITY:
Grukk is kind and caring, but his time away from people has created a tendency for him to misinterpret things and take them as insults. He is more comfortable around animals than he is with people. He tends to fidget with things in his hands when he is anxious, and sometimes breaks them due to his strength. As a pacifist, Grukk will only resort to violence in defense of himself, of his friends and loved ones, and of the sacred pools and groves of Eldath.


BACKGROUND SUMMARY:
Grukk comes from a tribe of Goliath in Cloud Peaks mountain range. He was always troubled by the violence of the constant fighting with the giants and ogres in the mountains. The last straw came when his favorite pet goat, Nutmeg, was slaughtered by a raiding party of hill giants. In talking with some of the tribe's Skywatchers (Druids), he had learned of the peace-loving Eldath Druids living in the Duskwood Dell, about 300 miles to the East in the Snakewoods. He left to join them and has been living with them for many years. Only recently having left to try and spread the word of Eldath and bring peace to the rest of Faerun.
