 This young roguish character looks every bit human, unless magic is used to reveal the authentic bloodline of a kitsune — vulpine shapeshifters who delight in playing tricks on careless travellers. This one however seems sterner and more matter of factly than the proverbial fox trickster. At ease, there is a hint of sadness —or is it ennui?— in those narrow hazel eyes. The red hue in the thick dark mane that frames this young face does not seem to bring it fire, rather cold deep red blood.

 When one meets Valentin, it is very likely that the first impression will be very different from the above — an array of perhaps twelve characters forms the repertoire of this social chameleon, from Ashleigh the Taldane merchant to Sasha the Varisian fortune teller. The part is usually played to the perfection, and helped with elaborate disguises, leaving onlookers befuddled and confused.
