Name: Russell Mansfield
Age: 29
Appearance: at first glance, Russell is a tall, good looking man. Then you might notice the metal limbs... or the big green lantern embedded directly into his chest. He's got some human parts left, but the question is how much humanity is left with them.

Biography: Russell was in the subway the day the bombs fell. His train was crushed in the tunnel collapse, and only he survived. It took him a week to claw his way up to the surface. Upon his emergence, he was met by three little blue men who congratulated him on having the will to survive.

"You mean you knew I was down there, and didn't help?" he demanded of the aliens.

"You didn't need it. But for what is to come, you will need the greatest tool ever devised."

It wasn't enough to simply grant him a ring and a lantern, though. Humans had lost the trust of the Guardians, and the only way they'd give him the tools was to graft them right to his body. The radical cyborgization he underwent was to make his 'frail human frame' capable of supporting the energies it would now wield.

...and so he became a Green Lantern unlike any other.

Powers: Like any Green Lantern, Russell can make anything he can think of, and is only limited by imagination and will. His imagination will need some work, but he's got Will in spades. His cyborg parts make him moderately superhuman in strength and durability, too.

 - Cyborg Strength/Durability: Because the lantern and ring are welded right into his body, there was a concern among the Guardians that he might accidentally rip his own limbs off. The solution was to replace his limbs, and much of his remaining skeleton.

 - Create tools/weapons: the chief ability of a GL ring is to create anything the bearer can think of. Russell can manifest anything in his imagination

 - Enhanced Physical abilities: The ring can be used in conjunction with his cyborg body to be even stronger, faster, and more invulnerable.

 - Flight: The ring can move Russell at multiples of the speed of sound. In space, he can move at multiples of the speed of light.

 - Unlimited charge: Most GL rings run out of power after 24 hours, regardless of how much they were used before that. Russell's ring is built right into the battery, and the battery is always with him (in his chest), so he never needs to recharge.

Flaws/Weaknesses: The ring is extremely weak against the color yellow.

Other: Unbeknownst to Russell, there is something unexpected within the battery itself. Just what it is and why it's there will remain to be seen.
