Physical Description:
Tamsyn is a pretty young woman which becomes much more evident when she has been cleaned up. Having spent most of the last three years in the Wastelend, baths take some getting used to and clean water isn’t always easy to come by but at least she has a semi safe place to sleep since she has found shelter in the bottom of a derelict apartment building in Gotham.

She has long, wavy black hair and a light complexion despite spending so much time outdoors. Her round face is accentuated by large, steel-blue eyes and full, pouty lips. She has a small, straight nose that turns up a little when she smiles which is rare these days. Her eyes have a somewhat haunted look as if she is plagued by some past deed or secret that she carries around with her.

Standing maybe five foot three and weighing about a hundred pounds, Tamsyn is a very petite girl who frequently looks like she is on the verge of flight, her eyes frequently scanning for an escape route. Her body is lithe with a thin waist, boyish hips, and small, pert breasts giving her an almost waif-like appearance. Her limbs are willowy and slightly long for her size belying an underlying strength that comes from living in the wastelands. Her hands are also distinctive with long, thin fingers that move with the suppleness and grace of a pianist.

She has very few belongings and that includes clothes which are all slightly worn and sometimes dirty. Most of the time she wears either a pair of black leggings or black skinny jeans with holes at the knees and along the front of her thighs. Her only shoes are a pair of worn, black boots with thick soles and buckles along her shins up to her knees. Her few tops are worn tees or tanks in various colors but she always wears a long, dark hoodie with the hood pulled up.

Biography:
Empath - Tamsyn can feel the emotions of others and even project an emotion onto someone if she chooses. When she got to Gotham, this was a little overwhelming for her with so many people crammed into such a small space. She spent her first week in the city curled in a ball on the floor crying as she learned to filter them out. Now she can at least suppress the masses and, if she concentrates, she can read specific individuals but she still risks being overwhelmed by a large group with strong emotions directed at her.

Astral Projection - She can separate her soul from her body and it takes on the image a big black bird, which is where she got the nickname Raven. While projecting, she can travel great distances and absorb energy which she can then expel before re-entering her body. While projecting, her physical body lies helpless and appears to be unconscious. Her physical shell is also at risk of possession by another entity while her soul is out. However, projecting causes her great physical pain if her soul is separated from her body for more than 5 minutes.

Teleportation - Tamsyn can project her soul and pull her body along with it in affect teleporting herself short distances. However, she can only teleport to places she can see so she can’t teleport through walls but she could teleport through a window.

Fighter - As a refugee of the wastelands, she was taught how to fight and defend herself by a man named Daniel, who travelled with her and her mother for almost a year. Before the cataclysm, Daniel owned a dojo and taught children an amalgamation of various ancient forms of martial arts which he taught her as they travelled east toward Gotham. Tamsyn became close to Daniel and even thought of him as a father figure since she never knew her own father.

Rapid Healing - Tamsyn heals at an accelerated rate. Cuts, scrapes, and bruises usually heal in a couple of hours while broken bones heal in a couple of days. Organ damage would take longer, a few days to a week and she can’t regenerate lost limbs.

History:
Tamsyn was born and raised in a small city in the Pacific Northwest.  Her mother had been seduced by a demon that had been living on earth long before the cataclysm but she never told her daughter anything about who or what her father was although, Tamsyn suspected there was something about him that her mother wasn’t telling her. So, she grew up with strange thoughts and voices in her head that she didn’t know wasn’t normal at first. Eventually, the voices in her head and acting out got her admitted to a mental institution for troubled youths. The doctors at the facility didn’t understand what she was and couldn’t help her except to give her drugs to help keep the voices at bay and keep her sometimes violent outbursts in check.

She escaped from the institution after the cataclysm nearly destroyed it and she found her mother in the wreckage of their old home. They reconciled their relationship and vowed to travel east to Gotham together to try to find a safe place to start a new life. For the past three years they have been living in the wastelands doing the best they can to survive as they headed east.

Along the way, they became close again relying on each for survival. They met Daniel after almost two years and her mother fell in love with him although they tried their best to hide it from Tamsyn but, this was about the time that her powers began to manifest and she could sense the budding relationship growing between them. This was one of the reasons that she began to think of Daniel as a father figure. With the manifestation of her powers, the voices faded away and now only a single voice remains, the voice of her father although she doesn’t know that’s who it is.

They had met others on their journey and had a nice, small group of people as they neared their destination. Unfortunately, her mother and everyone else they were traveling with were killed by raiders as they got closer to Gotham, all except Daniel who she saw flee into the woods. Tamsyn, who now went by the nickname Raven, was able to force one of the Raiders to fall in love with her. She used him to get her to Gotham and then slipped away one night and entered the city proper. Now she lives in the slums doing whatever she can to survive, still haunted by her past and who she might be.

Other Information:
Tamsyn is a Cambion, half-human and half-demon but she has no idea who or what her father is.

Flaws/Weaknesses:
Haunted - Tamsyn has no idea what she is or how she can do the things she can do which terrifies her and she worries she might be a mutant.

Desperate - she has lived her whole life in the wasteland and has just come to Gotham but she has very little that is her own and even getting food and water can be an issue.

Dirty she doesn’t always have clean water to bathe or clean her clothes.

Lonely - since her mother was killed by raiders and Daniel disappeared into the wastelands, she is all alone in the world.
