Daemon

Daemon was a SIRE project developed in the 1990's to create a robot army that could defend the country against superpowered threats. Unfortunately the AI researchers were too good at their jobs and unknowingly created a powerful AI driven to find, capture, and neutralize supers.

Despite having been defeated multiple times over the last twenty years it always has a hidden backup somewhere that activates, takes over a factory and then mass produces a robot army to try and stop supers, heroes and villains alike.

By this point nobody has any hopes of finishing off Daemon completely and the supernatural world just lives in constant fear that somewhere a new Daemon outbreak will occur.
