Hinata had a pretty easy childhood, things just came naturally for him. His parents didn't have money troubles, he found it easy to study and do well on tests and to make friends. He didn't let this go to his head, however, and enjoyed tutoring other students or hosting study sessions.

Not wanting to rely on his parents money forever he decided to apply for a scholarship to study abroad. He devoted himself to his studies at Monash Uni and was eventually invited to continue with his PhD there, tutoring the undergrads in the meantime. Well liked by most staff and students.
